Gov Yahaya felicitates with Gombe Emir over sister’s wedding, Gimbiya Maryam
…..wishes couple blissful marital life
In what can best be described as a royal wedding, Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, represented by the Secretary to Government of the State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, on Saturday was at the palace of the Emir of Gombe to witness the wedding fatihah between Naziru Sama’ila Muhammad and Gimbiya Maryam Shehu Abubakar, both from the royal families of Gombe and Kaltungo Emirate and Chiefdom respectively.

The well attended historical event saw the assemblage of high profile dignitaries from far and near which included; His Royal Highness the Emir of Gombe and elder brother to the bride, Dr Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, HRH Mai Kaltungo Engineer Sale Mohammed, Uncle to the groom and other Royal highness within and outside the state.

The state acting Head of Civil Service Ahmed Kasimu Abdullahi, Permanent Secretaries and top government functionaries where also on ground to rejoice with the two royal families.
The marriage was contracted by the chief Imam of Gombe Central Mosque Mohammed Umar Pindiga, after the couple has fulfilled all the requirements for Islamic marriage and upon the payment of N 250,000 dowry.
Alhaji Jalo Abubakar, stood in as walyy to the bride while Alhaji A.A Abdulkadir, represented the groom.
In a message of felicitation, Governor Yahaya congratulated the couple and their families for the success of the wedding and prayed God to bless their new home.
The Governor was however quick to remind the couple of the best ingredients for a successful marriage life which are; patience, tolerance, love and mutual trust for one another at all times.
