Kefas commences distribution of fertilisers in Taraba
The Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas, has commenced the distribution of fertilisers through the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.

The government acquired 2,460MT of assorted fertilisers to be distributed to farmers for free in the state.

Kefas in his speech promised and assured citizens that he would ensure the revamping and restructuring of the agricultural sector in the state.
He said, “I will provide an enabling environment for sustainable agriculture such as had never been experienced in the state.”

Speaking, Professor Nicholas Oliver Namessan, commended the governor for his efforts, adding that the Kefas led administration was committed to ensuring food security in Taraba State and Nigeria in general.
“This wonderful intervention to farmers will improve agricultural production and enhance food security in the state,” he said.
He also acknowledged that this contribution would encourage food sufficiency and cushion the effect of hunger in the state.
Namessan then handed over the fertilisers to the Palliative Care Committee for onward distribution to farmers.
Commissioners, Security Chiefs, Royal Fathers included some of those that witnessed the ceremony on the hand over of bags of fertilisers for onward distribution to farmers.
