Missing vehicles: Taraba Sports Commissioner threatens to probe Council
The Taraba State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Joseph Joshua, has vowed to probe the management staff of the ministry and the Sports Council over the missing of official vehicles.

He made the pronouncement while speaking with Journalists via a telephone on Sunday.
Joshua revealed that based on the records, about four government vehicles belonging to the ministry are nowhere to be found.
They include a Coaster Bus worth thirty million naira, an Ambulance, and a Toyota Hilux, as well as a 504 Peugeot among things that were said to have been vandalized.
The Commissioner alleged that the 504 Peugeot was carried away by a former Commissioner of the ministry, and a Toyota Hilux with a Taraba State government official plate number was also carted away by one of the Directors.
According to Hon. Joseph Joshua, the other missing vehicles were sold out during the regimes of the immediate past Commissioner of the ministry, who vowed to recover all missing items belonging to the ministry for the development of the state.
“Government is a continuous process. How can somebody carry the government’s property worth millions of naira and sell it? I am planning on how to succeed, therefore, I am not afraid of any saboteur,” says Joshua.
He further expressed dismay over the attitude of one of the Directors who traveled to Lagos State without notifying him as a Commissioner, an act he described as against the rules of the civil service.
“I am telling you is not going to be business as usual, I am ready to work with the people who believe in the vision of our administration of moving forward under the leadership of Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas,” he emphasised.
Commenting on the ongoing National Youth Games taking place in Asaba, the Delta State capital, Joshua who is currently in attendance, appreciated Governor Agbu Kefas, for making it possible for the state to attend by releasing funds, promised to come back victorious.
He, however, appealed to the people of the state to continue to pray and support the present government for the actualisation of its people’s oriented policies and programs in moving the state forward.
