Okeke to empower more Nigerian Deaf Youths with leadership skills
The National Youth Leader, Nigeria National Association of the Deaf, Ambassador Ebuka Okeke, says the organisation is geared towards empowering as many members as possible with leadership skills.

Okeke, made this disclosure in his address at the third youth summit held recently in Awka, Anambra State.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the summit was a collaborative effort between the youth section of the Nigeria National Association of the Deaf and the Anambra State Association of the Deaf.

He lauded National Human Rights Commission, the Voice of Disability Initiative, and the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency for their continued support.
He said, “We have successfully concluded the third National Deaf Youth Summit with a collaborative effort between the Youth Section of the Nigeria National Association of the Deaf (NNAD) and the Anambra State Association of the Deaf (ANSAD).
“I want to express my gratitude to all the Nigerian Deaf Youths who traveled from different parts of the country to join us at the Summit. Your active participation in the event reflects your commitment to advancing the human rights of Nigerian Deaf Youths.
“I also extend heartfelt appreciation, on behalf of all Nigerian Deaf Youth, to the National Human Rights Commission, the Voice of Disability Initiative , and the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency for their continued support.”
While expressing hope about the next year summit, Okeke hinted that the goal of the youth section was to attract more members, empower them with requisite leadership skills towards making them self-reliant.
“Looking ahead to the fourth Summit next year, we aspire to enhance our efforts based on the valuable lessons learned today. Our goal is to attract an even larger number of Nigerian Deaf Youths, empower them with leadership skills and create an even more memorable event. We believe this is an achievable aspiration,” Okeke added.
