Six kidnapped students of Fugus rescued
Top military source close to the Commander of 1 Brigade Nigerian Army Gusau, has confirmed that six of 24 students of the Federal University of Gusau kidnapped early hour of today have been rescued.
He said the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Sani Ahmed, is currently leading the operation alongside other security agencies in the forest along Tsafe Local Government Area of the state.
The source also confirmed that several bandits have been neutralised during the ongoing operation and weapons have been recovered.

In a related development, the Zamfara State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of the students
The spokesperson of the command, ASP Yazid Abubakar, in a telephone conversation with our correspondent on Friday said the command is yet to confirm the numbers of the students abducted
He said rescue operation is currently ongoing.
