According to an expression of interest sighted by our correspondent said his dedication to advancing African Literature motivated him to seek this important role.

It partly read, “I, Wole Adedoyin, the author of three published anthologies, namely “Whispers of Existence: Poetry on Life’s Journey” (ISBN: 978-978-59871-7-1), “Echoes of Being: Reflections on Life’s Tapestry” (ISBN: 978-978-59871-8-8), and “Soul’s Canvas: Poetic Meditations on Life’s Essence” (ISBN: 978-978-59871-9-5), am delighted to announce my candidacy for the position of General Secretary within the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA). My fervent dedication to advancing African Literature motivates me to seek this important role.

“Throughout my life, I have marveled at the ability of literature to unite people, ignite transformation, and foster understanding among diverse cultures and communities. Consequently, I have committed myself to supporting ANA’s mission and advocating for the voices of Nigerian writers.”

He noted that ANA has significant role to play in redirecting African Literature, adding that “I firmly believe that ANA holds a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of African Literature and in providing Nigerian writers with avenues to engage with global readers and fellow authors. He noted that his extensive involvement in the literary community, including collaboration with various literary organisations and service in diverse leadership roles, has equipped him with the essential skills and knowledge required to effectively lead ANA.
