Yahaya deploys PS to head Gombe Bureau for Public Service Reform

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, has approved the posting of Abubakar Usman, as the Permanent Secretary/ Head of the Gombe State Bureau for Public Service Reform.
This development was conveyed by the Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Ahmed Kasimu Abdullahi to newsmen in Gombe on Monday.
Hassan, who until now, was Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology, is mandated to develop innovative ideas to further the governor’s public service reform agenda aimed at ensuring a robust, functional, professional, focused, and result-oriented public service.
Recall that Yahaya had in November 2019, established the BPSR in the state via an Executive Order, with a vision to transform the Gombe public service into an institution of excellence.
He tasked the Gombe BPSR to initiate, coordinate, and ensure the full implementation of government reform policies and programmes, with the goal of enhancing service delivery as well as promoting synergy among various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies in the state.
