Zubairu Umar visits NSCDC Gombe Command

The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Gombe State, Barrister Zubairu Mohammed Umar, has pledged his commitment to support the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Gombe State Command.

Umar disclosed that its was geared towards stamping out crime and all forms of criminalities in the state, inline with the provisions of the administration of criminal system.
He made the pledge during a courtesy call to the Commandant of Corps CC Muhammad Bello Muazu, at the Command Headquarters, Gombe.

The Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, informed the Commandant that the visit was necessary because the NSCDC draws its place in the justice sector and security, adding that the command is doing very well in the state.
Umar also promised a robust synergy in order to enable the Corps execute its mandate effectively, commending the Commandant for being proactive and professional since he assumed office in the state which has enhanced the security.

“It can be attributed to his sterling leadership qualities which made the NSCDC more visible in terms of maintaining peace and security,” he added.
In his response, Commandant Muazu welcomed the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice to the State Command of the NSCDC, saying “it is ‘sine qua non’ for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the State Ministry of Justice to collaborate closely to ensure speedy dispensation of justice,” assuring that under his watch, no suspect would be denied of his legal rights within the context of the law.
Mu’azu promised to always seek the consent and permission of the Court where necessary and also sought for greater synergy between the ministry and the Corps, commending the Director of Public Prosecution, who was in the Commissioner’s entourage for always helping the Corps with legal needs whenever necessary.
