No fewer than 1,000 Islamic clerics offered special prayers for President Bola Tinubu and the New Nigeria Peoples Party National Leader, Rabiu Kwankwaso, for peace, progress, and political stability in the country.
The NNPP-Kiru/Bebeji Representative, Abdulmumi Kofa, hosted the Ulamas at Kiru, for the success of Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State at the Supreme Court.
The lawmaker’s Media Aide, Malam Sani Paki, confirmed the development on Monday in Kano to our correspondent.
On the occasion , according to the statement, the clerics recited the holy Qur’an 1,101 times and prayed for peace, progress, and political stability in the country,.
In his brief remarks on the occasion, Kofa said his relationship with Tinubu is no secret.
He explained that Kwankwaso is his mentor and would continue to support and promote a harmonious relationship between Tinubu and Kwankwaso.
Kofa said the NNPP is a very promising party and still open to collaboration, alliance, and merger with the APC, as well as with the PDP, LP, or any other party that expressed interest, so long as it is for the good of Nigerians.
He also promised to deploy his modest political network to reach out to gladiators in Kano politics towards resolving all resolvable issues and to de-escalate the current tension in the state as a result of the Kano governorship seat.
Shortly after the prayer session, the legislator hosted 5,000 primary school kids across his constituency, as he often does, and provided them with school kits.
The statement added thae Kofa assured the pupils of the good plans of the federal and state governments, especially on free education and school feeding programmes.
