The Gombe State Government says it’s poised to commence compensation of people affected by the relocation of some motor parks to the Ultra-modern mega park in the state capital.

The Secretary to Government of the State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, who disclosed when he received on behalf of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the report of the Taskforce on the relocation of motor parks also said a committee is being put in place to undertake the exercise.

He said the Ultra-modern mega park project was inherited from the previous administration and Governor Inuwa Yahaya has ensured its completion with additional works in line with his commitment to continuity to viability abandoned projects.
He said given the huge economic potentials of the mega park in terms of job and wealth creation the governor conceived the idea of constituting the taskforce to help the administration fast-track its operations.
The governor also revealed that the government is determined to deliver the proposed three arm zone comprising of House of Assembly, the Judiciary and a befitting state secretariat to house the Executive for effective coordination of good governance.
While appreciating the Chairman and members of the taskforce for doing a thorough job, the governor equally assured that government would study the recommendations and speedily implement them.

Presenting the report earlier, Chairman of the Taskforce ACP Ibrahim Bappah retd. appreciated Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for finding them worthy to undertake this important assignment.
ACP Bappah, noted that the assignment wasn’t easy but commended the SSG for providing them with the needed guide to carryout the job as well the members for their support and understanding.
He said the report is in three volumes comprising the main report, designs and references.
The Head of Civil Service, Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries and other top government functionaries witnessed the report presentation.
