Gombe State Governor and Chairman Northern States Governors Forum Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has called on the Turkish International Group of Schools, owners of Nile University and Lizamia Hospital to take advantage of the abundant investment opportunities in the state, saying that its centrality within the North-East sub region to establish their business outfits for the benefit of the people.



Yahaya made the call when he granted audience to the President of UFUK DIALOGUE Mr Emrah Ilgen, and management of Turkish International Schools at the Government House Gombe, on Monday.
Represented by the Secretary to Government of Gombe State Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, the Governor explained that the geographical location of the state and the relative peace it enjoys, makes it a perfect destination for the establishment of schools and any kind institution to serve the entire Northeastern region.
He added that the state government has substantially invested in health, education infrastructural development as well as creating a path way to industrialisation with the establishment of the Muhammadu Buhari industrial park, in a bid to open the state for investors.
The governor disclosed that Gombe State Government has gone into discussion with Turkish investors wishing to invest in the State adding that the establishment of the Turkish International School and a dialogue Centre in the state would further boost investment confidence especially of fellow compatriots.
He commended the Turkish International Group of Schools for its efforts in Education and Health outreach programmes which include free cataract operations to the poor, award of scholarship among others.
Yahaya assured his administration’s willingness to partner with the group and directed that they write formally to the State areas of possible collaboration.
While expressing government’s gratitude for the show of love for the state, the Governor equally commended Halima Usman, founder Halima Factor Community Initiative Gombe who was instrumental to their visit to Gombe State.
In his remarks, the President UFUK DIALOGUE Mr Emrah Ilgen, said they were in the state to seek government partnership in the areas of Education, Health, Promoting peaceful coexistence and Charity.
The Principal Nigerian Tulip International Colleges of Girls Abuja, Mr Fanzi Sankal, appreciated the state government for giving them the opportunity to visit its establishment.
He disclosed that the school was established in 1998 in Nigeria and now has over 10 secondary schools across the country in addition to Nile University.
He added that, the college is in partnership with some state governments, where scholarship are awarded and therefore called on Gombe State Government to key in for the benefits of the citizenry.
The initiator of Halima Factor Community Initiative Halima Usman on whose instance the Group is coming to Gombe expressed gratitude to the Gombe State Government for its examplary effort in education, health and other vital sectors of human existence.
She said UFUK Dialogue is in the state to seek for possible areas of collaboration with the state government to boost relevant sectors that has direct bearing on the lives of the people.
The team led by Usman also had in attendance, the permanent Secretaries and Directors in the SSGs office.
