…..calls for proactive measures to end insecurity
The Chief Executive Officer Institute of Human Virology Nigeria, and Labour Party governorship candidate in the 2023 general elections, Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum, has expressed deep grief over the attacks carried out on some communities in Bokkos and Barkin Ladi Local Government Areas.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the attacks were carried out by suspected marauding assailants where over 70 people are said to have been killed, property destroyed and harvested crops looted.
According to a press statement signed by Media Consultant to Dakum, Shabul Mazadu,
the gubernatorial candidate of LP described the attacks as devastating, heartbreaking and traumatising.
The statement partly read, Their recurring perennial nature without apprehending the perpetrators of the heinous onslaughts and restoring lasting peace in the LGs concerned, leveraged the assailants to ceaselessly continue with their nefarious acts.”
Dakum called on the government to use both kinetic and non-kinetic approach to find lasting solution to the attacks so as to build hope and confidence in citizens of the ravaged communities and affected local governments.
He sent his heartfelt empathy and condolence to the families of those who lost their loved ones in the attacks saying, “they should take heart and be strong; the almighty God will grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable losses.”
