No fewer than four indigent students received Scholarship Award of N40,000 each endowed by Academic Staff Union of Universities, Gombe State University Branch.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the students include Hassan Muhammad, student of Islamic Religious Studies, Zainab Abdu Jibir, student of Physical Education, Kefas Ezra, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery student, and Usman Julderu, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. This Award ceremony was held in ATBU Bauchi.
The event was presided over by the Zonal Coordinator Bauchi Zone Dr Lazarus Maigoro.
Similarly, the Chairman ASUU-GSU Dr Suleiman Jauro, also presented Award letters of ASUU- National Scholarship on behalf of the National President, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, to two additional students.
Each of the awardees received scholarship to the tune of N200,000.
The two students from GSU include Musa Mohammed a 200 level student of Biology Education and Solomon Irmiya also a 200 level student of Christian Religious Studies.
