History was recently recorded as a professor of Chemistry, Emeka Oguzie currently teaching in the revered Federal University of Technology Owerri- made the highly-rated list of the world’s best scientists.
Oguzie, who is one of the few from an African-based institutions, was selected from a US-based Stanford University report recently released, which represents barely the top 2 per cent of the most cited scientists in various fields.
The database was reportedly created to provide updated analyses and publicly available database of top global scientists that provide standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions, as well as a composite indicator.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the list has 159,683 individuals with about 1,500 scientists, doctors and engineers globally.
