…….says insecurity on the decline
Katsina state Governor, Dikko Radda on Monday held a closed door meeting with Chairmen of the state’s 34 Local Government Areas over security, Agriculture and primary health care,among other issues.
The Governor declared at the meeting that there had been reduction on the activities of bandits in the state in recent times.
He said the council Chairmen contributed to the reduction, urging them to put in more efforts.
The Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed disclosed the details of the meeting to journalists.
Mohammed disclosed that the meeting took place at Government House, Katsina.
He disclosed that other issues discussed at the meeting included agriculture, food security, and primary healthcare.
Mohammed said, “Mr. Governor applauded the local government chairmen for their joint efforts in addressing insecurity in their respective Local Government Areas.
“He also acknowledged that armed banditry in the frontline local government areas had drastically reduced.
“On agriculture, Governor Radda reiterated his commitment to boosting irrigation across all the Local Government Areas and revealed his plans for the distribution of improved seedlings and farming equipment to support local farmers in their quest to provide food security in the state.”
