The Katsina State House of Assembly on Monday passed N454.3 billion budget for the state’s 2024 fiscal year.
The House passed the budget at a plenary presided over by the Speaker, Alhaji Nasir Yahaya-Daura.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the 34- member house had earlier unanimously approved a report on the budget proposal.
The chairman of the house committee on Appropriation, Alhaji Lawal Yaro, presented the report on the 2024 budget proposal submitted by Governor Dikko Radda which was unanimously adopted by the house members.
The presentation of the report paved the way for the third reading and approval of the appropriation bill.
It was after this that the house members approved the budget.
The speaker directed the Clerk of the House to produce a copy of the 2024 Appropriation Law for onward submission to the executive for Governor’s assent.
Governor Radda had on November 8, 2023 presented a 2024 budget proposal of N454.3 billion to the state house of Assembly for passage.
