The secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has been presented with an award by the North East Development Projects Organisation in recognition of his contributions to grassroot Development in the North-East sub region of Nigeria.

The award was received on behalf of Njodi by the Commissioner for Local Government and Community Development Mohammed Abdulkadir Malle.
The award was thereafter presented to him by the Commissioner in his office on Friday in the presence of the Commissioner for Youth & Sports Development Adamu Inuwa Pantami, his Internal Security and Home affairs counterpart Col. Abdullahi Bello Talasse, and Permanent Secretary Ministry for Local Government and Community Development Mohammed Dantata Ndus, who unanimously congratulated the SSG for the award.

Periscope Nigeria reports that Njodi’s trajectory in grassroot development has been kindly monitored by the North East Local Government Project an organisation concern about the development of the region especially at the grassroot level.
Receiving the Award, an elated Njodi emphasised the importance of grassroot development which is a panacea to curbing rural urban migration and therefore thanked the organisation for finding him worthy of such recognition.
According to Njodi, “This award will ginger me do more. I dedicate it to my boss His Excellency Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya who gave me the opportunity to serve and to the good people of Gombe State who have been supportive of the present administration.”
