The Peoples Democratic Party and its gubernatorial candidate in Nasarawa State, David Ombugadu, have filed an Appeal at the Supreme Court to challenge the Appeal Court’s judgement of November 23, which affirmed Governor Abdullahi Sule, as the authentic winner of the 2023 governorship election in the state.

This was conveyed to correspondents in Lafia on Wednesday by one of the co the PDP governorship candidate, Matthew John.

According to him, “Ombugadu included Alhaji Audu Sule, the Independent National Electoral Commission, and the All progressive Congress in the petition he filed at the Supreme Court.”

It would be recalled that the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal had on October 2, 2023 sacked Governor Sule of the All Progressives Congress and declared David Ombugadu of the PDP as winner of the governorship election in the state.

However, unsatisfied by the Tribunal judgement, the incumbent Governor filed an appeal to set aside the judgment and affirm his election as announced by INEC.
