The global Intellectual community has continued to mourn the death of Refaat Alareer, an intellectual writer from Palestine who was recently killed by Israeli raids in his private residence in Gaza, along with four members of his family.

Refaat Alareer was a leading activist voice until his death yesterday under Israeli bomb. This is coming at a time when Isreal has killed 17,000 Palestinians among which 50% are children with 28 writers and 180 teachers bombed out of existence by the Israeli Defense Force.
Refaat Alareer took intellectual resistance to a new phase of universal consciousness where the Intellectual must be willing to lay down his or her life in challenging oppression of all kinds with a vision to leave mission behind for those who are left behind to continue to confront and ridicule oppression and oppressors respectively.
Until his assassination by Israeli force, Refaat Alareer lived a defiant and highly admirable life, he will be personally missed by me and most of my friends at Global Resistance Movement.
May his intellectual and ethical soul rest in perfect peace.
