In a heartfelt appeal, Dr Barnabas Malle, the Commissioner for the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Cooperative, has called upon Christian faithfuls in Gombe State to observe this year’s Christmas with a spirit of tranquility and harmony, steering clear of any actions that may mar the sanctity of their religious celebrations.
Malle specifically addressed the youth, urging them to partake in the festivities in accordance with the teachings of the Bible. He emphasised the significance of unity and love among residents for the overall development of Gombe state, offering prayers for the perpetuation of peace and harmony within the region.
Furthermore, the Commissioner extended commendations to the Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, who also holds the position of Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum.
Malle praised Governor Yahaya for consistently upholding Gombe as the most peaceful state in Nigeria. He lauded the governor’s efforts in delivering the tangible benefits of democracy to the people, showcasing a commitment to progress and prosperity.
As Gombe state gears up for a season of festivities, the Commissioner’s words serve as a poignant reminder of the importance of a peaceful and united community during the Christmas celebrations.
