All Progressives Congress has dismissed Professor Pat Utomi‘s proposal for the formation of a mega party by the three major opposition parties against the governing party in 2027 as mere wishful thinking, saying it will end as news headlines.
The professor of political economy and management expert had, on a national television, said the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) had agreed to form a mega party to unseat the ruling APC in 2027.
In a statement while reacting to the proposal yesterday in Abuja, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka said Utomi should not be taken seriously.
He argued that the former presidential adviser had been a serial promoter of mega parties that never materialised.
