…Urgent Appeal for the Release of DCP Abba Kyari to Address Nigeria’s Insecurity Crisis
By Comrade Victor Ojei
Dear President Tinubu,
We, the Concerned Nigerians from Young Nigerian Rights Organisation, urgently bring to your attention the escalating security challenges gripping our nation. The recent attacks on innocent families and travellers demand swift and decisive action, imagine kidnappers lately increased ransom fees from 50 million naira to 700 million naira. The invaluable contribution of DCP Abba Kyari in curbing such threats cannot be overstated.
Kyari’s remarkable achievements, recognised with the highest congressional award, exemplify his commitment to national security. We draw your attention to instances where other countries strategically utilised skilled individuals to address societal issues, restoring peace and order.
For instance, consider the release of assets in various countries:
- United States: Special agents instrumental in countering organised crime were strategically deployed to tackle complex security issues.
- Colombia: Skilled law enforcement officers were released to combat drug cartels, contributing significantly to the country’s stability.
- Philippines: Effective police officers were mobilised to address internal security challenges, resulting in notable improvements.
President Tinubu, DCP Abba Kyari’s expertise in navigating the intricacies of Nigeria’s security landscape is unparalleled. His proven track record in Lagos and the North East attests to his ability to dismantle criminal networks.
We acknowledge the legal challenges he faces, emphasising the need for your intervention against perceived collusion between the NDLEA and influential drug barons. This intervention is crucial to unveil the truth behind the accusations and restore justice.
Mr. President, we implore you to seek comprehensive reports on Kyari’s ordeal and facilitate his prompt release. His knowledge of the terrain, community engagement strategies, and successful track record make him an indispensable asset in overcoming the current security crises.
In the spirit of leadership, we trust that your decisive actions will be remembered as a pivotal moment in ensuring the safety and well-being of all Nigerians.
Recall that Isaac Adaka Boro and his comrades were jailed for treason. However, the federal regime of General Yakubu Gowon granted him amnesty on the eve of the Nigerian civil war in May 1967.
Sincerely,
Concerned Nigerians from Young Nigerian Rights Organisation.
