…. Alhaji Suleiman Hamza weds Shamsiya
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, was among hundreds of well wishers that attended the turban ceremony and wedding fatiha of the new District Head of Awak in Kaltungo Local Government, Alhaji Suleiman Hamza.
The governor was represented by the Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, alongside Honourable Yerima Ladan Gaule (Majority Leader), Commissioners of Agriculture, Dr Barnabas Malle, and his Higher Education counterpart Mohammed Shetima Gadam.
Others are the Principal Private Secretary to Gombe State Governor (PPS) Mohammed Usman Shanu, Directors of General Duties Balarabe Musa, SS & Pol Bala Sarki and Mr Iliya Suleiman, among others.
During the colourful event which took place at the Palace of Mai Kaltungo Engineer Sale Muhammadu, Njodi conveyed the governor’s best wishes to the District Head over the twin events and wished him a successful reign as he supretends the affairs of Awak District and a blissful marriage life.
In a brief remark, Mohammed, enjoined the new District Head to be fair and just it manner of persons in his jurisdiction irrespective of believes, culture and traditions.
The Mai also appreciated the large turnout of well wishers attributing it to concerted peace efforts of the Maidom.
The wedding fatiha of the new District Head and his bride Shamsiya Adamu, preceded the turbaning ceremony after the fulfillment of all rites as provided by Islamic religion.
