Nigeria is at cross roads .The global recession , coupled with the many wars of international dimensions has adversely affected our economy. Revelations from the Obaze Committee have revealed some of the largest heist known to man kind. Government Officials taking our National Cakes and putting them in their personal ovens .Taking over banks, with treacherous schemes like pirates take over river banks .
Revelations from the Humanitarian Ministry are frightening and mind boggling. It appears Nigeria ‘s Public Funds are the easiest to steal in the world , but the most difficult to find .There appears not to be an audit trail or a transaction trail .The EFCC are targeting the poor Yahoo Boys and leaving the real thieves, those who pilfer our common patrimony.The Law in Nigeria is too strong to catch the weak , but too weak to catch the strong
The President is inundated with too many activities, but he has to take charge.Some heads have to roll in the next few hours . We might be Nationalists and Patriots , but we are not stupid.The only way to stem impunity is deterrence.
Real Leadership is not transactional, but transformational .At the National Assembly it is all about figures and figures .Policy Formulation and over sight functions have taken a back seat .
