A Senior Lecturer in the department of Entrepreneurship Studies, Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Dr Vincent Paul, says inclusion of Cultural Studies in the curriculum saying it would ensure unity, peace, and respect for the nation’s diversity and above all solve insecurity in the country.
The Don made the disclosure in a keynote address during the Eggon Annual Cultural Festival in the Galle Community of Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the State on Wednesday.

Paul while speaking on the theme “Celebrating Our Culture, Honouring Our Heroes and Building Our Future,” called on political leaders to pay more attention to harnessing the potential endowed in the nation’s cultural heritage given its crucial roles in shaping and reorganising the society.
He said, “There is need for the Federal and state governments to initiate programmes aimed at developing the capacity of the local communities, institutions, and professional bodies involved in the preservation of cultural artifacts as part of efforts towards sustainable unity of the country.
“The elites, the academia and the political class should also focus on innovative ideas that could promote cross-cultural understanding, tolerance, and respect for the diversity of the citizens.”
