The Secretary to Government of Gombe State Professor Ibrahim Njodi has lauded Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, over Friday's victory at the Supreme Court. Yahaya emerged victorious following a five-member panel ruling led by Justice Kuditat Kere-Ekun in a case filed by Peoples Democratic Party's candidate Muhammad Barde, in the last concluded election. In a statement obtained by PERISCOPE NIGERIA which was signed on Saturday by Joshua Danmalam, Information Officer SGS' office, Njodi said the judgement was an affirmation of the people's desire. Njodi "On behalf of the entire staff of office of the Secretary to Gombe State Government, I, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi (Madakin Kaltungo), heartily felicitates with the people's governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON, (Dan Majen Gombe) and Chairman Northern States Governors' Forum, over the judgement of the Supreme Court which validated his resounding victory at the 2023 polls," the statement partly read. Njodi noted that the judgement only confirmed the trust of residents, adding that it would allow the governor to focus on yielding development to citizens. The statement added, "Indeed, His Excellency's affirmation as the duly elected Governor of our dear Gombe state by the Supreme Court is a testament and a true reflection of the people's mandate. "Your Excellency, you are a leader per excellence and a pride of the Jewel State and Nation as a whole whose footprints of massive infrastructural development would forever be remembered by all. "Sir, as you continue to pilot the affairs of the state and the quest to turn around the fortune of the citizenry we are wishing you a successful tenure full of Allah's blessings, guidance, wisdom and good health.
