The Transmission Company of Nigeria, on Sunday provided reason for blackout within some states, saying that it was following vandalisation on its installations.
Periscope Nigeria reports that the destruction has caused blackout in Yobe and Borno States.

According to a press statement signed by the General Manager Public Affairs Ndidi Mbah, the company decried the continued destruction of its equipment describing its as major set back in TCN’s bid to transmit power to underserved communities.
“The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) hereby states that its tower number 388 along the Jos-Bauchi, 132kV Single Circuit transmission line was vandalised, resulting in its collapse,” the statement partly read.
