Gombe State Government and Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe have signed a partnership to run a 100-bed capacity hospital at Malam Inna Community of the state.
Speaking, Chief Medical Director FTH,Gombe, Dr Yusuf Abdullahi, appreciated the gesture by the state government with the tertiary facility to manage the Mallam Inna Hospital, while commending Commissioner for Health, Dr Habu Dahiru, and other stakeholders for the initiative.

Abdullahi also assured the state government and people of the community that FTH would offer quality health care services at the hospital.

Speaking earlier, Commissioner for Health, Dr Habu Dahiru stated that it was an important milestone in the history of healthcare in Gombe State for a giant Hospital like FTH, Gombe to be given the management of such a community Hospital.
Responding during vote of thanks, District Head of Mallam Inna, Alhaji Sa’idu Abubakar Kwairanga, stated on behalf of his community and other surrounding communities that they hope to benefit, they expressed gratitude to Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, for prioritising healthcare delivery.

PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that other important dignitaries that attended the event include former Chairman Task Force Management of COVID-19 in Gombe; Professor Idris Mohammed, Vice Chancellor of Gombe State University; Professor Aliyu El-nafaty, among others.
