The Gombe State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Salihu Baba Alkali, on Tuesday was conferred with Lifetime Ambassador Award by Ethics and Integrity Organisation.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that Ethics and Integrity Organisation based in Kogi State is a Non-Governmental Organisation.

The leader of the organisation, Prince Yakubu Sale Musa, explained that Alkali who was the immediate past Executive Chairman of the State Board of Internal Revenue Service made tremendous achievements under his tenure apart from raising the revenue profile of the state.
Musa noted that among achievements that made the management team to select him for the award was the innovative skills Alkali brought in the office that checkmated some fraudulent activities and keep the staff in their rightful toes.
He added that the innovative skills recorded led to the Gombe State Board of Internal Revenue Service to emerge as the the first position in the North-East sub-region and also 10th state position in Nigeria in the least corrupt ethically responsible state in States Revenue Boards.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, commended the recipient for his dedication and commitment to the policy and programmes of his administration that was centred on zero tolerance and anchored on transparency and accountability as their watchword.
Represented by the Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, the governor commended the searchlight of the organisation for doing a good work which has helped society in many ways.
The recipient who is an Accounting guru has distinguished himself in various capacities he found him within and outside the country, no doubt, Governor Yahaya appointed him as a commissioner in charge of Budget and Economic Planning.
