The Gombe State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Gombe State Command, Muhammad Bello Muazu, has been bestowed with ethical leadership and conduct compliance award.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the award was by the Centre for Ethics and Self value Orientation, an international anti-corruption firm.

The organisation majors in exposing corruption, promoting ethical leadership, providing ethical education and value orientation of global citizens.

Muazu was presented the award in Gombe by the Executive Director of the Centre Ethicist Salih Musa Yakubu, who revealed that the Commandant was ranked and enlisted amongst top 100 most ethical and upright least corrupt professionals in governance at sub National levels in Nigeria.
He disclosed that the awardee has contributed to citizens’ well-being, National interest, volunteerism, integrity, internal security, Corps visibility, operational ethics, compliance, Staff discipline, self discipline and welfare, dispute resolution, conflict prevention, emotional intelligence, innovative skills and zero tolerance to corruption.

Musa said the award is the highest honour of the Centre reserved for people with impeccable character and unblemished ideals who changed narratives positively. In the same vein, the State Command was also conferred with a Corporate Award Compliance Award 2023 having been ranked the first in the North-East and ranked amongst the top 10 Commands of NSCDC in the Country.
“This followed the result of the Centre’s multi sectorial independent secret assessment exercise conducted in the 36 States of the Federation in 2023,” Musa added.
Responding, Muazu, lauded the centre for finding him worthy of such an award and recognition, which stems from his exceptional track record and unwavering dedication and commitment to duty.
