Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu, has announced reduction of work days for level one to 14, exempting those in the teaching cadre.
Sanwo-olu disclosed this was in a bid to empathise with citizens over the current hardship.
The governor said that civil servants from level one-14 would begin to work three days a week as part of measures to ease the economic challenges on residents.
He spoke on Thursday during a live media chat, ‘Sanwo Speaks’, to intimate residents on steps being taken to reduce the economic burden on Lagosians.
Workers in the teaching sector will however maintain the five days a week work schedule, but government will ensure additional transport support for them.
