Former Governor of Gombe State, Dr Ibrahim Hassan-Dankwambo, has condoled with the family members of Access Bank Holdings Chief Executive Officer, Herbert Wigwe.
Recall that Wigwe was reportedly involved in a helicopter crash in the United States alongside his wife, son and others.
Hassan-Dankwambo who is the Senator representing Gombe North senatorial district described the news as devastating.
The two-time governor expressed his sympathy on his verified Facebook account sighted by PERISCOPE NIGERIA.
Hassan-Dankwambo’s condolence message partly read, “With a heavy heart and profound sorrow, I have received the devastating news of the passing of our esteemed friend and colleague, Herbert Wigwe. The loss of such an extraordinary individual has left a deep sense of grief and mourning.
“Herbert Wigwe’s exceptional leadership as the immediate past Managing Director of Access Bank and current Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings has undeniably left an indelible mark on the financial industry. His visionary guidance, unwavering commitment, and resilience have served as a wellspring of inspiration for countless individuals.
“The tragic loss of Herbert Wigwe, alongside his wife, son, and the other passengers, in the unfortunate incident in California, has dealt a profound blow to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will be forever cherished, and his legacy will continue to resonate within the hearts of those he touched.”
Hassan-Dankwambo urged the family members to be comforted with the impactful life of Wigwe, “During this difficult time, I extend my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Herbert Wigwe.
