The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-corruption Commission recently took action by confiscating 10 warehouses that were found to be hoarding various types of food items. During the operation, it was noted by the commission’s chairman, Muhyi Magaji, that the owners of these warehouses were not present. However, upon inspection, it was discovered that the open warehouses were stocked with a wide range of commodities, including spaghetti, rice, pasta, sugar, and other essential food products.

According to Danyaro, the traders are currently offering their goods in the market at a lower price compared to the prices set by the company.

According to him, the traders’ choice was prompted by the strong public reaction to the skyrocketing prices of necessary goods and the overall high expenses in the nation. Additionally, the market leader pledged full support to the commission in identifying unethical individuals who are unreasonably inflating prices and stockpiling goods.
