According to Dahiru, he has started making contacts with officials at the national office of National Primary Health Care Development Agency to ensure that the Gombe State is not left behind in the polio, meningitis campaign.
He said, “I have just finished finished speaking to the coordinator at the national level for the campaign he promised to send a temporary work-in-store vaccine. We are going to get the required consumables needed to ensure the campaign goes on uninterrupted.”
Speaking earlier during an assessment tour, Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, disclosed that measures were being put in place to unravel the cause and nip in the bud future occurrence.
He said, “Maternal and Child care equipment and also two million doses of polio virus vaccines which are very difficult to come by and this store serves not only Gombe but infact the entire North-East. This is because of the essential commodities but it’s the wish of God, there is nothing we can do.”
