The administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has again been commended for its efforts towards repositioning the education sector especially at the elementary level.
The Senior Technical Assistant Coordination and Learning Adviser United States Agency for International Development Leveraging Education Assistance Resource in Nigeria Nafisa Ado, stated this when she led members of the project on an Advocacy visit to the Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi.

Ado remarked that the administration of Governor Yahaya has continuously demonstrated the political will to turn around the fortune of the education sector thereby providing a conducive environment for the children of Gombe to learn in the most appropriate manner.

She described the understanding commitment and cordiality existing between the Government State Government and USAID towards the implementation of the LEARN project in the state as commendable.
Ado explained that the Leveraging Education Assistance Resource in Nigeria (LEARN) is a project that encourages early grade learning in children using language they best understands for easy assimilation.
Responding, Njodi stressed that the administration of Governor Yahaya is determined to work in partnership with organisations such USAID to bolster the education system of the State.
Professor Njodi recalled that the declaration of the state of emergency by Governor Inuwa Yahaya on the education sector shows a clear commitment to change the narrative which were hitherto characterise dilapidated structure and low moral among teaching Staff.
Njodi assured USAID of the present administration’s commitment to work in partnership with interventionist organisations.
