The Federal Road Safety Corps has recorded one death, with others said to be injured in a multiple accident around International Conference Centre, Bauchi- Gombe expressway.
Confirming this fatality, the Sector Commander of Gombe FRSC, Felix Theman, said they were two incidences at the same place, adding one life was lost with six others injured.
According to him, the injured passengers were taken to Gombe Specialist Hospital for urgent treatment, adding that the deceased was deposited at the morgue of the same facility
Theman said, “The accidents happened almost at the same period. The one that involved one Sharon bus and a truck, one woman died inside the crash and there are about six other passengers inside the vehicle who were injured. Infact as we speak our Ambulance officer on that route said they are still washing it the Ambulance.
“The other involved an okada rider, no one died but the rider is unconscious and he is also in the hospital for proper treatment.”
