A pertinent concern Team Nigeria Athletes had at the beginning of the games was payment of their camping allowances and the issues bothering around it.
Issues of delay and being shortchanged.

The Minister of Sports, Senator John Enoh, gave his words and appealed to them to trust the process, he did not fail to corroborate the fact that trust was broken due to past experiences.

The Sports Minister held a meeting with all members of Team Nigeria in Ghana for the 13th African Games comprising Athletes , secretaries of Federations , Sports administrators, staff of the ministry gentlemen of the press on the 10th of March 2024 , at the Limman Hall of Lagon University where the Games village is situated.


He said, “No athlete would be shortchanged.

“Trust the process , you will be paid your due under my watch as Minister of Sports.”

Senator Enoh is keeping to his words every passing day.
From paperwork to follow ups, welfare of Team Nigeria to Correspondences , whatever the Lacuna , the Minister of Sports is hands on.

Today the 22nd of March , the Athletes started receiving their Camp allowances.
Athletes who have won medals will also get bonuses.

According to a viral video obtained by PERISCOPE NIGERIA Favour Agbero was seen jubilating over the money he received alongside others.

Furthermore, the Judo athlete Ibrahim Abdulahi who suffered a Cardiac arrest has been discharged.

His travel plans back to Nigeria have been concluded by Enoh based on medical advise, a dedicated team will take him back to his hometown in Kano Nigeria where post discharge medical follow up will be handled.
