The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Maiduguri Zonal Command has detained 21 trucks.
Our correspondent reports that the trucks were carrying a mix of food and non-food items destined for N’djamena in Chad Republic, the Central African Republic, and Cameroon.
Recall that the Federal Government has outlawed transfer of food to other countries in order to shock food crises in the country.
“These trucks were stopped at key exit points along Kalabiri/Gamboru Ngala and Bama roads in Borno State,” the officials added.
