The President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association, Mrs Mariya Abiodun Lagbaja, has distributed food items to well over 5000 Widows of fallen heroes, members of the Nigerian Army Soldiers’ Wives Association (NASWA) and members of the Military Officers’ Widows Association during a grand humanitarian outreach recently.

PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that it’s in line with her vision of sustaining legacies through unwavering commitment to unity and service for the betterment of humanity.
The outreach which took place on Monday 11 March 2024, at the Army Headquarters Garrison parade ground, Mogadishu Cantonment, Asokoro, Abuja, was part of the President’s demonstration of love and solidarity for the barracks community.

The NAOWA President, affirmed that the event not only reflected on the determination and commitment of NAOWA towards imparting positively on the lives of its members, but also underscored the organisation’s dedication to promoting empowerment and solidarity among women in the barracks community.
Highlights of the event was the distribution of bags of rice, oil, beverages and other food items to well over 5,000 persons comprising widows, NASWA and MIOWA members, and group photographs.
