Agriculture Minister, Abubakar Kyari, says Nigeria is currently working towards the production of one million metric tonnes of rice in the next three months.
Recall that the country is battling high cost of agricultural produces owing to inflation.
According to Kyari, the country has empowered dry-season farmers under the National Agricultural Growth Scheme, adding that it would boost food security.
He said, “This effort is a result of providing dry season inputs to farmers through the National Agricultural Growth Scheme, with the aim of ensuring food security across the nation.”
