Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has expressed optimism to take the state to its deserved economic destination through Agriculture.
The Governor spoke in Jos on Sunday during an event to reopen, rededicate and commission Plateau State Government House Chapel.
He said his administration is ready to harness all the potentials in the state aimed at assisting Nigeria take it’s leadership role in Africa
He noted that Plateau had the potential to feed Nigeria and called on the citizens to join hands with his administration to enable it take the state to greater heights
The governor said ” People have been asking why the Government House chapel is not functioning .
“And we said we won’t be in a hurry to make it work again because there are a lot of things that needed to be pulled down and rebuilt . Today ,the project to return the chapel and make it serve it’s original purpose is now a reality
The Governor who called on the people to remain united added ” For too long,the enemy has divided us for too long along ethnic lines . This chapel does not belong to any denomination .
“There are people God gave a burden for Plateau that the nations of the earth will benefit
“Through Plateau ,the nations will be blessed .Do you know that Plateau can feed Nigeria? . But something went wrong in the past
“My administration is here to return Plateau to that path and make it play a key role that Africa is waiting for Nigeria to manifest. It’s time to move Plateau forward
“My desire is that by the time we leave office,we will leave a united and prosperous Plateau” .
Former Governor of the state, Jonah Jang described the spiritual well being of the government as very crucial to making progress
He called on the people to be united and continue to support Mutfwang administration to enable it fulfil it’s mandate of good governance peace and prosperity for the state .
