United States Agency for International Development, State2State activity in collaboration with Adamawa government has prepared 2024 budget profiles and cash plan for priority Ministries, Department and Agencies for transparency and effectiveness.
Speaking at the three-day workshop in Yola, State2State’s acting team lead in Adamawa, Ms Suzanne Myada, said, the priority MDAs were education, health, water sanitation and hygiene.
According to her, the major advantage of the exercise is for effective and efficient management of available resources to implement strategic priorities of government.
“It will therefore ensure reasonable expectation of availability of resources for timely implementation of government programs and projects,” she said.
Myada said, State2State are in Adamawa since 2021 complimenting the effort of Adamawa government by supporting and sustaining ongoing public financial management and other reform.
She tasked stakeholders on sustainability of such an effort for continuation when State2State leave.
“We are now in the fourth year about to go, what we want is sustainability after we leave the state,”she said.
In his remarks Mr Ambrose Daniel, member technical team explained that every organisation not only government needs budget profiles for the financial discipline.
He expressed readiness for sustain the project in the state for effective service delivery, improve economy and accelerated development.
One of the participants, Mr Sani Mohammed, of pro health International, an NGO appreciated for the workshop and assured to step down the knowledge to other staff for upgrade in their services
