The Federal Government has approved Thursday 11th April, 2024 as an additional public holiday to celebrate this year’s Eid -El-Fitr.
According to a press statement signed by Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Dr Aishatu Ndayako, Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, congratulated the Muslim Ummah for a successful completion of a month of spiritual rejuvenation.

PERISCOPE NIGERIA had reported since Sunday that FG declared Tuesday and Wednesday as public holidays. Following the Sultan’s declaration that Eid-el-Fitr would be celebrated on Wednesday following the failure to sight the moon.
With that the public holidays for the celebration were shortened by one day, so the need for Thursday.
