The Chief Medical Director of Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe, Dr Yusuf Muhammad Abdullahi, has fecilitated with Muslim ummah for concluding the 30 days of Ramadan fasting.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the completion culminates into the celebration Eid-El-Fitr.
Abdullahi added that not too long ago, our Christian brothers and sisters observed the 40 days of lent that ended with the Easter celebrations.
The CMD further said in a statement obtained by our correspondent, “In all sacred events, we have learnt abstinence from not only food and drink but majorly sinful acts. We have also learnt to cater for the needy amongst us by feeding them, giving out food and other gift items.”
Abdullahi then hoped and prayed that the lessons learned would draw faithful closer to the Almighty and strengthen the generosity towards those in need.
“We are here to serve humanity. We will therefore continue to offer and improve our services within available resources, with all sense of responsibility,” he said.
