Minister of Education Prof. Tahir Mamman, has announced 2,889 students pursuing education have been granted bursary awards of N75,000 each.
Mamman made this disclosure during the initial quarterly gathering of the Federal Ministry of Education.
He noted that the sum of N75,000 bursary awards have been granted to a total of 2,889 students enrolled in education-related courses at Nigerian higher institutions.
Mamman said, “345 individuals are beneficiaries of the Bilateral Education Agreement scholarship, 51 for the commonwealth scholarship, 2,122 beneficiaries under the Nigerian Scholarship Award and 724 beneficiaries under the Teachers Internship Scheme.”
