The Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes project, Gombe office has organised a four-day training for the community revolving fund.

Speaking, Project Coordinator ACReSAL Gombe State, Sani Jauro, represented by Natural Resources Officer, Mohammed Aliyu, who doubles as Desk Officer community revolving fund said the training will focus on developing business plan, financial management, managing agribusiness and concepts of profit sharing.
Jauro added that loan will be given to the communities that qualify within the catchment area of FCE Gombe gully erosion control project.

While speaking at the event, the overseeing Senior District Head of Gombe, represented by Village Head of Jauro Kuna, Abubakar Isah, advised the beneficiaries to use the loan given to them judiciously and refund for others to benefit.
He also thanked the Gombe State Government for the prompt counterpart fund of ACReSAL in the state, and the World Bank for coming to the aid of Gombe residents.


Some of the participants interviewed Saidu Gadam, a resident of Anguwa Uku, and Rukayy Usman, from Malam Inna village thanked Gombe State Government and ACReSAL for the support and promised to use the loan given to them as at when due.
Five associations were selected from various communities.
