Gombe State has embarked on a significant initiative aimed at supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises through the commencement of enumeration exercises for the Presidential Palliative Programme grant.



Spearheaded by the office of the Senior Special Assistant/Focal Person on MSMEs to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Gombe State, Hon. Abdulwahab Sabo, this programme targets over 11,000 beneficiaries spread across the state’s 11 Local Government Areas.
Under this programme, each beneficiary stands to receive a grant of N50,000 providing a much-needed financial boost in the face of economic challenges.
Sabo expressed gratitude to President Ahmad Tinubu and the Ministry of Trade and Industry for extending this opportunity to Gombe State.
He also called upon the people of Gombe State to continue supporting the present administration, led by Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, in their efforts to deepen democracy.




Babangida Usman, from the Bank of Industry, responsible for conducting the enumeration exercises, commended both the State and Federal Governments for initiating this program to alleviate the plight of the masses. Usman mentioned that the screening process for over eleven thousand beneficiaries is expected to span nine days.
Among the beneficiaries who expressed gratitude for the assistance provided are Yusuf Alhaji Ibrahim, Treasurer of the Keke Napep Riders Association, Harisa Muhammad from Bye Pass Barunde in Akko LGA, and Abdullahi Yakubu, Chairman of Yan’Balangu in Gombe State.
They acknowledged Governor Yahaya and President Tinubu for their timely intervention during these challenging times, pledging to utilise the funds to enhance their businesses.

With beneficiaries poised to leverage on the grant for business expansion and sustainability, the programme holds promise for fostering entrepreneurship and driving socio-economic development across the state.
