Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, has made u-turn with recent approval for the appointment of additional Commissioner-Nominee Shehu Abdullahi.
Our correspondent reports that in 2023, Yahaya reduced Gombe ministries to 17 with the appointment of equal number of Commissioners, with Abdullahi’s appointment additional ministry may be reestablished.
According to a press statement signed by Director-General Press Affairs, Ismaila Misilli, the announcement was conveyed by Secretary to Government of the State Professor Ibrahim Njodi, stressing that the statement was to enhance the state’s administration and advance its development objectives.
Also appointed are 17 Special Advisers, three deputy chiefs of staff, five senior Special Assistants, adding that the appointments take immediate effect.
The statement partly read, “The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, who conveyed the governor’s approval said the development was informed by the new appointees’ proven track records of achievements, loyalty, experience and commitment to service.
“The new appointees are Shehu Umar Yerima Abdullahi – Commissioner-Nominee.”
