The Hisbah in Kano has prohibited male Disc Jockeys from performing at events predominantly attended by females.
Disclosing this during a meeting with the state’s DJs representatives, the Commander General of the board, Aminu Daurawa, shared this information.
According to Daurawa, allowing such would lead to immorality as an Islamic state, noting that it is unacceptable.
“As an Islamic state, it is unacceptable for us to allow the indiscriminate mixing of males and females at the same event.
“This is because this act can promote and spread immorality,” he said
