President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of Chief Martin Nwanchor Elechi the former Governor of Ebonyi State, as the pro-chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Board of Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa State.
Elechi is the Former Governor of Ebonyi State in South-East Nigeria. He ran in the general elections on the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ticket and assumed the position on May 29, 2007, succeeding Sam Egwu. Elechi ran successfully for re-election on 26 April 2011.
He is a member of the All Progressives Congress.
